Terms of Use

Measure Then Plan provides free calculators and measurement guidance to help visitors organize an early project estimate. These terms explain the practical limits of that purpose.

Use the website as a planning tool

Calculator results are estimates derived from the measurements, choices, and supplier information entered by the visitor. Use them to organize a project question, then verify the measurements and relevant product details before buying materials or starting work.

Measurements, materials, and purchases

Geometric area, volume, and weight estimates are not the same as every real-world project need. Material condition, supplier specifications, package coverage, density, availability, delivery, taxes, site access, waste, settling, moisture, compaction, and local conditions can affect an actual purchase or project.

Purchase scenarios use the supplier capacity, increment, or coverage entered for that scenario. A result is not a supplier quote and does not guarantee that a supplier will sell, deliver, price, or fulfill a particular quantity.

When other advice is needed

The website is not a substitute for qualified professional advice when that is appropriate. It does not provide an official appraisal or real-estate living-area certification, engineering specification, property survey, permit determination, regulatory approval, or confirmation that a project is safe, suitable, or compliant.

Use the information responsibly

Check that shapes do not overlap, exclusions belong inside the area being measured, units are compatible, and supplier information matches the material and project. Do not treat an estimate as more precise than the measurements or assumptions behind it.

The website may link to outside measurement references and educational guidance. Those sites are separate services with their own content and practices.
